Year 6 Parents
Reminder: The SATs this year will be starting next week. In order to ensure the children are fully prepared for the day we are offering a free Breakfast Club. There will be a selection of food for them i.e. toast, cereals, fruit, Danish pastries and vegetarian sausages etc. After they have eaten there will be various activities to help them to be in the correct mindset for the tests.
The children will need to come to the main door from 8.00 a.m. where they will be supervised by Mr. Waddington and other school staff.
Years 3/4 Residential
Friday 15th May is the day to sign your child up for the Year 3 & 4 Residential. If you would like to sign your child up for the residential, please email helen.spafford@coopacademies.co.uk
Walking to and from school
We only allow children in Yrs. 5 & 6 to walk to school and home on their own. If you would like your child to do so there is a form you must complete first. These forms can be obtained from the office.
All children in Yr. 4 and below must be accompanied by an adult.
Grapes - LunchboxesIf you are putting grapes in your child’s lunchbox, please cut them in half. This will reduce the chance of your child choking. |

Labelling Uniform
We have had a number of children who have lost uniform, coats etc. but do not have their names in the items. It is extremely difficult for staff to find uniform if they are not labelled with your child’s name. Please ensure all items are labelled.
Collecting your child
If somebody different than yourself is collecting your child, please inform the school office, who can then let the class teacher know.
Coats
Please ensure your child comes to school with a rain coat. Even though it is May the weather is still very unpredictable and some of the children are cold and wet at break and lunch time.

Valuable Items
If your child brings their phone, house keys, bus pass, and wears a smart watch they need to hand them into the office where the items will be locked away.
Your child will then need to collect them at the end of the day.
Reporting your child absent
This year we will once again be having a big push on attendance and punctuality. The children are expected in school every day. Children are not allowed to take leave from school. If you do take your child out of school, then you may be prosecuted and fined £80 per child per parent. In some cases, you could be fined £2,500 per child per parent and receive a criminal record.
Mrs. Spafford and Mrs. Khambhaita will be monitoring all children and if they have any concerns regarding a child’s attendance or punctuality, the parents will be invited to a meeting.
If your child is going to be absent from school, please do not ring the school number but ring or send a text to 07938742883.
If we have not received a reason for your child’s absence, we will be contacting you from this number. If we do not receive any reason, then a home visit will be made.
