Year 2 trip to Filey

Our Year 2 class visited Filey today as part of their learning about the Victorian seaside.

Our Year 2 class visited Filey today as part of their learning about the Victorian Seaside. The children have been learning about how the Victorians used the seaside and the activities they did there. The children have learnt all about penny licks, bathing machines and Punch and Judy shows. They have been comparing these activities to those at the beach in modern times.

During the visit to Filey, the children had an opportunity to play in the sand, paddle in the sea and even had an ice-cream on the beach. They were very lucky with the weather and managed to avoid any rain, which made the visit even more successful!
