Healthy Lifestyle Week
Next week is Healthy Lifestyles Week. The children will take part in a number of activities promoting and learning about healthy lifestyles.
There will also be two events for parents to take part in – Sports Day and JU:MP Fun Day
JU:MP Fun Day
On Thursday we have JU:MP (Active Bradford) in school where the children will be taking part in a number of activities.
Parents are invited to join their children in a range of activities where you can win prizes and you will be given information about active movement in the community. The parent session starts at 8.45 a.m. in the bottom hall. Your child will join you once they have been registered in class.
Sports Day
Reminder:
Sports Day for Years 1 to 6 will be at Carlton Bolling on Friday 3rd July starting at 1.30 p.m. The children will be walking to Carlton Bolling straight after lunch.
They will then need to be collected from Carlton Bolling at 3:15 p.m. If you have a child in Reception Class and you are unable to arrange for somebody else to collect them please do not worry, we will keep them in school until you are able to get here. Could you please let Mrs Spafford know if this is the case?
We will be needing volunteers to help walk the children to Carlton Bolling please email Mrs Spafford (helen.spafford@coopacademies.co.uk) if you are able to help.
Like last year, we are encouraging parents and carers of the children to come and experience the day with us. There will be adult races from 3:00 p.m. and you are welcome to watch your children from 1:30 p.m.
Summer Fair
Our school summer fair is fast approaching and we are looking for donations of chocolate and bottles for our raffle stalls. The bottles and chocolate need to be unopened, must not contain nuts or alcohol and be in date please.
Any donations would be greatly appreciated – we cannot run our popular chocolate and bottle tombolas without your donations. If you could send them to school with your child no later than Monday 13th July that would be great.

Milk Money
Our supplier is Cool Milk. If you wish to register your child for milk please go to their website: www.coolmilk.com.
Valuable Items
If your child brings their phone, house keys, bus pass, and wears a smart watch they need to hand them into the office where the items will be locked away.
Your child will then need to collect them at the end of the day.
Reporting your child absent
This year we will once again be having a big push on attendance and punctuality. The children are expected in school everyday. Children are not allowed to take leave from school. If you do take your child out of school then you may be prosecuted and fined £80 per child per parent. In some cases you could be fined £2,500 per child per parent and receive a criminal record.
Mrs. Spafford and Mrs. Khambhaita will be monitoring all children and if they have any concerns regarding a child’s attendance or punctuality, the parents will be invited to a meeting.
If your child is going to be absent from school please do not ring the school number but ring or send a text to 07938742883.
If we have not received a reason for your child’s absence we will be contacting you from this number. If we do not receive any reason then a home visit will be made.
