English Showcase

You are invited to our inaugural English Showcase on Wednesday 8th October at 9.00 a.m. in the bottom hall. After a short meeting explaining how English is taught in school, you will then be able to visit your child's class.

Grow to School Day

On Tuesday, the children in Yrs. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 will take part in gardening workshops.  They will need to come to school in old clothes.

Important Notice

We have had a number of incidents this week when children have brought in nut products for lunch. We have a number of members of staff and pupils who are extremely allergic to nuts and can become seriously poorly if in the same room as nut products. Please be mindful when packing your child’s lunch. Do not include any nut-based desserts, i.e. Kaju Katil, Khajur Burfi, chocolate spread or peanut butter sandwiches.

Year 3 Parents

On Monday, Year 3 will be doing some forest school work. They will be outside all afternoon – no matter what the weather. Please send them to school in clothes which you don't mind getting dirty and ensure they have a waterproof coat and shoes.  Miss Atkinson

Reception children need to keep their PE kit in school.

Reminder: Year 5 will begin their swimming lessons tomorrow. They will need to bring their swimming costume and towel into school every Tuesday. If your child forgets their swimming kit phone calls will be made.

Milk Money

Our supplier is Cool Milk.  If you wish to register your child for milk, please go to their website: www.coolmilk.com.

Valuable Items

If your child brings their phone, house keys, bus pass, and wears a smart watch, they need to hand them into the office where the items will be locked away.

Your child will then need to collect them at the end of the day.

Reporting your child absent

This year we will once again be having a big push on attendance and punctuality. The children are expected in school every day. Children are not allowed to take leave from school. If you do take your child out of school, then you may be prosecuted and fined £80 per child per parent. In some cases, you could be fined £2,500 per child per parent and receive a criminal record.

Mrs. Spafford and Mrs. Khambhaita will be monitoring all children and if they have any concerns regarding a child’s attendance or punctuality, the parents will be invited to a meeting.

If your child is going to be absent from school, please do not ring the school number but ring or send a text to 07938742883.

If we have not received a reason for your child’s absence, we will be contacting you from this number.  If we do not receive any reason, then a home visit will be made.
