Working with an artist in Year 6
Our link local artist Tony Bullock visited Year 6 this week.
Having strong links with a local artist has been very beneficial to the children at Penny Oaks. Over many years, the children have worked on various projects with Tony Bullock and the sessions are always a highlight of the timetable.
During his visit to Year 6 Tony taught the children how to make tribal prints by carving on lino to print negatives. The children were all enthrawed by the session and all quickly mastered the techniques making beautiful prints. Their work will continue this term for the DT projects.
