Year 4 heritage project with Bradford Arts Centre

Year take part in heritage project

Our Year 4 class had their first in a series of session at Bradford Arts Centre today as they have been invited to take part in new pilot project with Historic England : Stamped & Scripted.

Stamped & Scripted is a fully funded heritage and literacy project for year 4 students that transforms local history into original raps. It's creative, engaging and designed to boost confidence in writing, speaking and performance.

There are four key elements to this project and they all take place over this half term. The first is linked to the Historic England Heritage Trail, for the second & third element we are going to work with a local rapper who will come into school to work with our Year 4 class to create their own raps to perform back at Bradford Arts Centre later in the month.

We are excited to work with Bradford Arts Centre on this project and we are sure that our Year 4 pupils will learn alot from the sessions.
