Penny Post - 3rd May 2024

Our latest newsletter

Reminder: The school is closed on Monday 6th May due to the Bank Holiday  Weekend.  It will re-open on Tuesday to all children.

Co-op Parent Survey

Thank you to all the parents and children who completed our recent questionnaire about our school.  We are always keen to know your thoughts about Penny Oaks and the things you think we are doing well and where you think we can improve.  We have analysed the results and selected the top 3 areas that pupils and parents said they would like us to develop.

Trust Update

· A new phone system was installed over the Easter break

· £25,000 towards IT equipment.  This included 60 Chromebooks,2 charging trollies and a new screen in the IT suite.

· Mrs. Spafford has been asked to be part of a Partnership Development Team.  She will meet with other members of the team (representatives chosen from a selection of other schools in the Trust) to discuss ways of improving attendance in the schools.

Year 1 Parents

Could you please bring to school any empty toilet rolls, cardboard boxes and cereal boxes over the next 2 weeks as we will be using them to make our own freestanding building.

Thank you

A big thank you to Inaya Hussain’s family for the donation of used books.  These will be shared around the reading corners in the classrooms.
