End of year letter from Mrs Khambhaita
Dear Parents and Carers
As this academic year draws to a close, I just wanted to thank you for your continued support of the school and staff and thank you for your attendance to all of our events over this year - it is really lovely to see so many of you supporting us throughout the year.
I have a couple of staffing changes to let you know about, Mr Hattersley has decided to retire after many years working various roles in school, we wish him a happy retirement.
Mrs Ikrah Hussain has been appointed as class teacher and will teach in year 4 from September – we are confident she will be an excellent addition to our staff team.
Mrs Shaz will continue to cover Mrs Patel’s maternity leave in Year 1.
There are no other staffing changes and all the teachers will remain in the same classes they have been this year.
We have had a very successful year, our first as a Co-op Academy here are a few of our highlights:
-
Year 5/6 children winners of the Co-op Primary School Spelling Bee
-
Year 6 children winners of the Co-op Performance Poetry Competition
-
Penny Oaks awarded the Quality in Careers mark
-
Penny Oaks awarded the silver Artsmark award
-
Year 6 SATs results in line with national performance
We are very proud of all the children and all that they have achieved.
I wish you a happy and restful summer break and look forward to seeing you in September.
Regards
Mrs Khambhaita
