Important Please be very aware that we have members of staff and some children in school who have a nut allergy. Nuts and peanuts can cause allergic reactions, which are sometimes severe. A severe reaction to nuts is called anaphylaxis and can be life-threatening. Symptoms often start quickly, within an hour of coming into contact with a nut, and sometimes within minutes. Avoiding foods that contain nuts will prevent an allergic reaction. As a consequence of this, we would ask all parents to ensure that nuts or nut-based products (i.e. chocolate spread & peanut butter) are not sent into school in lunch boxes. This also includes when the children are on school trips.
